SHOOTING SHORT FILMS

Short-term exchanges of groups of pupils

Meeting in the Republic of Macedonia Bitola

27 October – 2 November 2019

Each team of students first presents the storylines they produced in their own school before the meeting; the other teams discuss and express their opinions on the most effective ones. Structured discussions on topics and social issues follow the first presentation phase.
Students evaluate each other’s short films using worksheets organized around set of cinematic technique criteria.
Students attend workshops about how to shoot the sequences of their storylines. They learn about how a film production crew works, its specific roles and duties.
Students in multicultural teams are assigned different topics and write a storyline for a short film based on the same selected topics. Then they shoot the films. Each team member has a clear role in the film shooting – producer, director, actor, cameraman etc.
The final short films are presented to the other teams to receive their feedback.
